The daily photo blog has stalled somewhat in recent weeks - a variety of reasons! I've some cathcing up to do, so some backdated posts will be added but there will be a rather large gap in the 365. I'll either extend for another month or two, or more likely cut back to a weekly picture.
It's not quite what I'd planned or hoped but time has proven to be short and other 'stuff' has had to take priority.

Ramsons - Take II
105/365
My quest for the 'ideal' Ramson (wild garlic) image is complete.
his one is now also an 18" x 18" canvas which looks rather lovely on the bedroom wall.

Bluebell and Bug
104/365
We have more bluebells along the riverbank this year, much later and set to last longer than usual. This one seems to be of interest for this little (undentified) bug!

"White"

I know this butterfly is part of the "Whites" family but butterly identifcation is not my strong point! I think it could be a Green-Veined White...?

Ramsons
102/365
I love this Spring flower, more so than the Bluebells that appear at the same time. Between them the Ramsons and Bluebells give a stunning display. The Ramson is distinctive in it's delicate appearance and in it's fragrance, and for me, brings lots of happy memories to the fore.
This could be something for the bedroom wall (recently renovated and very 'fresh')... so I strive for "The Perfect (to me) Ramsons Shot". Although I like this one, it's not "The One" and so the quest continues.

Moorland Pony
101/365
It might be May but it's still jolly cold up on the moors and a woolly coat keeps out the worst of the weather. Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall.

Tread carefully, these stingers are particularly vicious - but surprisingly beautiful, in a spikey sort of way!

Daisy on the driveway; complete with dandelions in the background. The weeds are running riot - but I don't think of a daisy as a weed, I rather like a daisy.

But there are no blackbirds baked in this pie! Just good old chicken and ham.
Despite it being almost May and the dried days, it's still fairly nippy and a comforting pie is very welcome.

Apple 'Frit'er
86/365
Blue apple shape created from crushed glass (known as 'frit') prior to being fused in a kiln.
This picture was taken during a Glass Fusing Workshop run by Marie Glossop as part of the Cornwall Council Adult Education programme. An excellent workshop! Marie is an extremely talented lady with a wonderful (and addictive) studio (Atlantic Glass Studio) in Bude, North Cornwall.

Asian Short Clawed Otter
80/365
The Asian otters are smaller than the British and seemed to be more vocal, busy and playful - or least there were until dinner time when the British otter found it's voice and used it to full volume!
Picture taken 19th April, Tamar Otters.
Such great little characters! They knew when dinner was about to served.

Kestrel
79/365
Jack, the Kestrel. We often see Kestrels hovering above with their distinctive fanned tail, or perching in a tree but rarely this close up. They are absolutely stunning.
Picture taken 19th April, Tamar Otters.
Although I have chosen the picture above as my 'Daily' photo (I liked the constrast between Jack and the blue sky), the one below shows him in a little more detail.

British Otter
78/365
Today I spent a fabulous afternoon spent at Tamar Otter and Wildlife Sanctuary. The otters were such characters, I could have watched them for hours.
Although this is a photo-a-day project, I'll being adding more pictures from this afternoons outing in for the next couple of days - it'll still be one photo a day... just not necessarily taken on that day.

Textured Tulip
76/365
Our solitary tulip.
We only have one tulip in our garden. Every year it stands out from the crowd of muscari and chionodoxa in the flower bed, and every year I think "I must get more tulips planted". Every year I forget...
The texture has been applied in Photoshop. I had a bit of a play with textures a while back but couldn't really get the feel for them. Having been inspired by the results achieved by others I thought I'd give it another go. I'm pleased with how this one has turned out and will have more of a play with them.
